The trail ducks under Mission Blvd. Rode to beach twice last week from Orange! Mostly 5* pavement. Besides, the few pix on the page suggested an interesting ride and good pavement. Here is a video I made of the Santa Ana River Trail. Serious bikers seem to be the main users, however there is family biking, runners and even skateboarders. Seen em all. I ride with my son on Sunday from Orangewood to Moon Part in the spring and to the beach when it warms and I'm in better shape. The longest uninterrupted section is from Yorba Linda to Huntington Beach. In addition, on the way to work, I've seen either Canadian Geese or Crackling Geese, I'm on my way to work, so I can't stop and determine which species they are and I only see them in the early morning hours. 8/27/2021. Those domed tanks are trickling filters. The nearest sign I saw that said "Bike Route" did not point to the left where this crudely-paved connector actually is. It's a long beautiful park. The Santa Ana River Trail is easy to follow as it leaves the parking area on a wide cement two-lane bike trail. With all the homeless on the trail, I've heard a lot of talk about it being intimidating at time. But it is a moderate climb.
